Long time, no post... Sequoia Natl Park

This tree is literally the largest living organism on Earth. "General Sherman" is 2,500+ years old, 250+ feet tall, and over 30 feet around at the base.
Simply said, massive.

Where you have always wanted to be.

Thankfully I live no where near there.
These images were most likely shot on my first visit late 2001.

I drove over this bridge and shot this image the better part of ten years ago.
I was somewhere north of SF in my green Jeep with Scotty at the wheel...

Red Rocks Canyon

If you have ever been to Mammoth you have driven through Red Rocks Canyon.
Usually it's 5 A.M or the opposite 11:30 P.M when I pass this spot but not my last trip up. I hit it perfectly... Hope you like.

I managed to break out my camera over Memorial Day weekend...
It just happened to be something like 3:00 A.M.

Tree and Moon

We found a spot out on a point just east of the watchtower on the South Rim...
We sat there for hours taking pictures, throwing small rocks and yelling to hear our echo. It was sweet!

Playing with fire...

Really it's more like playing with light.
Campfires are always fun. Even if you smell like smoke for days afterward.

The Grand Canyon

As you can imagine this place is massive, beautiful and inspiring.
I have driven the entire West coast and the majority of the Southwest yet had never been to the rim of the Grand Canyon. So I took it upon myself to make it happen. 3 days and 3 nights was perfect.

There was a bar just around that corner on top of this mountain...
On the way back we stopped and had a few until the sunset.
Needless to say it was pretty cool.

Even with the rain Nerja was the coolest beach town ever
